A fabulous Antique Suffragette pendant made Circa 1910. The piece depicts a beautiful wreath encircling a central flower decorated with a colourful array of Peridots, Pearls and Amethysts with a fancy dropper hanging below.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which were chosen to counter the masculine women’s rights stereotypes put forward by opponents. Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
The piece is modelled in 9ct Yellow Gold and is a wonderful representation of the women’s Suffragette movement. The stones are so vibrant and look wonderful together.
